Undergraduate Study

The School’s professionally accredited undergraduate courses expose students to all of the major Engineering disciplines. Comprehensively trained in a broad range of topics, students are able to make informed choices with regards to specialization in Years 3 and 4. This multi-disciplinary approach prepares students for the global challenges of tomorrow. Our tutorial system is designed to provide vital support and encouragement to students early in their academic careers, while encouraging them to think independently and outside the box.

Postgraduate Study

The MSc courses in Engineering at the University of Warwick are designed to provide comprehensive training in established as well as emerging fields, such as sustainable energy technologies, modern power grids, information engineering and advanced healthcare technologies, with many others besides. These rigorous and challenging courses equip students with the advanced skills and knowledge required to meet the challenges (present and future) faced by industry and society.

Students study eight taught modules, with a broad choice of options enabled by the multidisciplinarity of the School’s research activity. Students will also undertake a substantive individual research project, which allows them to reinforce and apply their learning to practical or research-focused problems, often industrially led or inspired. In order to help prepare them for the demands of the course and for further study or employment, students attend tailored seminars on career management, project planning and report writing.

Teaching is underpinned by world-class research activity in the major engineering disciplines, alongside active collaborations with business and industry. This ensures that the course material is always up-to-date and reflects real-world problems. Recent graduates have progressed to senior technical positions throughout the world, further academic study, consultancy, senior management, and positions in business and finance.
