The mission of Florida Tech’s College of Engineering (CoE) is to educate engineers and scientists who will be entrepreneurs or future leaders of industries, governments or academia. The CoE includes nine departments:

All of these departments have a broad range of academic programs on offer. The engineering courses at Florida Tech have a global reputation for excellence, providing students with comprehensive education in a broad range of engineering disciplines, and giving them a definite ‘edge’ against competitors in this popular field of employment.

The CoE at Florida Tech supports many Research Centres and Laboratories; these serve to encourage collaborative research activities involving faculty and students from different programs within Florida Tech and a number of other colleges.

International Student and Scholar Services

The Office of International Student and Support Services (ISSS) provides support for international students and scholars to enable them to achieve their educational goals and objectives. They advocate on behalf of the student, encouraging international and U.S students to learn from each other, and play a role to expand the university’s appreciation for cultural diversity. The mission is based upon Florida Tech’s goal to provide education for interdependence by furthering international education at Florida Tech and supporting an environment conducive to intercultural learning and exchange.

International Student Services also offers cultural programs designed to assist foreign students in adjusting to life in the United States and at Florida Tech. These include the International Orientation Program, the International Workshop Series covering topics such as employment, travel and taxes, the annual International Festival, as well as many others. The ISSS Office prides itself on providing the services international students need to be happy and successful in their time at Florida Tech.
