University of Bath welcomes Yonsei University visitor to discuss Asian stability

Next week the University of Bath welcomes  Dr. Jong Kun Choi, Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Yonsei University, to the UK.

Dr Choi will be presenting a guest lecture focusing on stability in Northeast Asia, and posing the question: Is the relatively long peace of Northeast Asia a result of crisis stability or general stability?

The talk, hosted by the University’s Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies, will introduce two stability concepts – crisis and general stability, and will examine how Northeast Asia has sustained its peace through crisis stability and presents a new trend toward general stability.

The University are delighted to welcome Dr Choi from Yonsei University, Seoul; Dr Choi specializes in International Relations theories, Northeast Asian security, Air-Power security, political psychology and public opinions on national identity and foreign policy attitudes, aligning to many of the research areas within the Department and its Centre for War and Technology, launched earlier this year.
