Have you got IELTS 6.5? Read how you could gain a globally recognised qualification from the UK

  • The BSc (Hons) International Nursing programme is designed to enable nurses to top up their qualifications to a degree level.
  • The programme equips students with the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to provide efficient and effective care in a respectful and compassionate manner.
  • The programme allows qualified nurses to build upon their initial training and further develop their skills in their area of international practice.

On completion of the BSc (Hons) International Nursing at the University of Derby, students will have an internationally recognised UK degree qualification, having further developed their knowledge and skills for effective international nursing practice. Completion of the programme will also help prepare those students considering any subsequent application to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in order to practice as a UK NMC Registered Nurse. Existing registration with the NMC is not a requirement to commence this degree programme. As of October 2014 professional registration with the NMC for internationally qualified nurses cannot currently be included within any UK degree programmes. Information related to NMC registration for completing students wishing to purse this separate process can be found
