BANGKOK (AP) — The body of a South Korean woman who went missing when a tourist boat collided with a fishing vessel in southern Thailand has been found. A South Korean man is still missing.
Police Col. Phrutthipong Nutchanart said Tuesday that rescuers are trying to retrieve the woman’s body from under the boat wreckage near Thailand’s southern resort of Phuket.
The tourist speedboat was carrying 44 foreign and Thai tourists and crew members from Phi Phi island. Most of them were rescued by marine police and villagers on boats.
Phrutthipong says the speedboat driver will face charges of causing death by reckless act.
