Facebook suffered a 30-minute worldwide outage on Thursday afternoon, sending users flocking to other social networks.
Reactions on Twitter across Asia varied between panic and relief as news spread of what looked to be complete global outage between approximately 3pm and 3.30pm Thai time.
By 3.30pm users in most countries had.
Although it has yet to be confirmed, the outage appears to have been worldwide, with anyone attempting to access the site getting this message:
Countries where users reported the outage include the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, Mongolia and Italy.
“We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%,” a Facebook spokesman said. “We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
