TIANJIN, China – In their second game day of the Trinity Western University Goodwill Tour of China the men’s basketball team had a more relaxing day as they prepared for the second contest of the tour.
The rest did TWU well as the Spartans defeated the Tianjin Polytechnic University 80-54 at the beautiful Tianjin College Students’ Stadium, which was host for the 2013 East Asian basketball games. TWU’s defence was the difference as the Spartans held TJPU to 20 second half points to earn the victory.
Prior to the contest the Goodwill tour delegates and men’s basketball team were given a tour, by university dignitaries, of the new swimming pool and library on the TJPU Tianjin campus.
Tomorrow morning the TWU Delegation and Spartan men’s basketball team will have a formal reception and lunch with dignitaries at Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, and Government Dignitaries to Launch the TWU-TUFE Great Wall MBA program in Tianjin.
Later in the day the Spartans will travel back to Beijing to continue the Goodwill tour.
