TIANJIN, China – It was a big day for the Trinity Western University men’s basketball team and the Goodwill tour delegation as they were on hand for the historic launch the TWU-TUFE Great Wall MBA program at the Tianjin University of Finance and Economics.
The Spartans checked out of the Westin Hotel in Tianjin in the morning and headed to TUFE for a tour of the campus and the new facilities for the joint TWU-TUFE Great Wall MBA program.
The TWU Goodwill Tour delegation was joined by TWU Vice Provost Kevin Sawatsky, Dean of the TWU School of Business Andrea Soberg and MBA Director Murray MacTavish. The group had a formal reception and a delicious traditional Chinese lunch hosted by President Zhang at internal restaurant at TUFE.
After the lunch the group proceeded to the opening ceremonies for the new Great Wall MBA program at TUFE.
After the opening ceremonies and celebration the boarded a bus and headed back to Beijing to get ready for tomorrows 7 p.m. match-up with Tsinghua University. Tsinghua is consistently recognized as the top university in China.
