The University of Bolton, Bolton School of Business

Bolton is a university on the move. Rapid development is underway, along with the introduction of several new programs. Among these is the Bolton Business School. When it launched in March 2013, it became the most recent reminder of this UK university’s extraordinary rise to prominence.

Millions of pounds’ worth of investment and a fearless commitment to enhancing 21st-century higher education fuel this expansion. This has attracted some of the world’s leading faculty and industry experts, but the benefit goes directly to the students. Brand-new facilities, cutting-edge research and a full roster of expert faculty set the stage for one of the most dynamic business school experiences on offer.

At the undergraduate level, students can pursue degrees in Business Management, Accountancy and Business Law. These courses have been developed in conjunction with business and law experts, and they’re designed specifically with employment in mind. Graduates are primed to offer employers the precise skill sets they are looking for.

Class sizes are small. In fact, the Telegraph recently reported that Bolton University maintains the second-most favourable student-to-staff ratio in North West England. Furthermore, a strong international component underlies the coursework, and undergraduate students have the chance to spend a semester in the UAE at a Bolton campus near Dubai.

Taught postgraduate courses are also available through the business school. These have been crafted for entrepreneurs and future business leaders. Several new courses are available starting in September of 2013. These include a suite of MBA programmes (full-time, top-up programme and executive part-time) and Master of Science degrees in Accounting and Financial Strategy, Accountancy and International Management.

An dynamic environment for new students

Students are sending out positive reports from the newly unveiled business school. In 2013, the Guardian newspaper reports that business management programmes are yielding some of the highest satisfaction levels in the North West. There’s no question that this is an exciting place to be a new enrolee.

Strengthening ties to Asia are also promising. Bolton University is well-networked with institutes of higher learning in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka. This presents exceptional opportunities for study abroad experiences, collaboration on transcontinental projects and extended networking. Asian students who enrol at Bolton in the UK will graduate with a foot in each hemisphere and exceptional employment prospects.
