Stunning Light Installations Made Of 100,000 Recycled CDs

/>

/>British artist Bruce Munro—known for his spectacular installation art—is back with two new light installations.

/>

/>Housed at the Waddesdon Manor,—a beautiful French chateau in Buckinghamshire, England—the artworks took a total of 100,000 recycled CDs to create.

/>

/>“Angel of Light” is a precise circle laid out at the front of the house that is made of approximately 50,000 CDs, while “Blue Moon on a Platter” is constructed by pinning thousands of CDs to the undulating slopes of the amphitheatre.

/>

/> With the use of LED candle lanterns and coiled optic fiber, the installations glow and shimmer as the light glides over the reflective surfaces of the CDs, making them a sight to behold in the night.
