At the University of Derby our business, accounting and banking courses give you the qualifications you need to enter the corporate job market. All of our courses are created with national and international employers and professional bodies. They have been designed to give you a head start from your peers.

Many of our courses offer a placement year where you can gain work experience with an organisation related to your course. Work experience will impress employers after you graduate.

We offer a range of business, accounting and banking courses which appeal to different career paths:

  • our Banking and Finance BA (Hons) top up course will teach you about international economics, banking, financial accounting and risk management
  • International Business MSc gives you a deep knowledge of the economic, political, technological and cultural factors facing international business
  • in addition to a Masters level qualification, our Accounting and Finance MSc course gives you the knowledge for your final ACCA Professional Level examinations
  • finally, our MBA (CMI Accredited) teaches you the latest in management thinking and styles.

We are an ACCA ‘Gold Standard’ university which means our courses are delivered with the highest professional quality.

Our Accounting and Finance MSc will allow you to take your final five ACCA Professional Level examinations without the need for any additional learning, saving you money and time.

We offer a range of scholarships and discounts from your tuition fees that are based on your academic ability. If you have completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Derby, you are entitled to a 10% discount on your postgraduate tuition fees.

The current job market for business, accounting and finance jobs is competitive, but our courses not only give you the knowledge to further your career, but you will also gain practical experience. We encourage you to take on as many extra-curricular activities and work placements that can help you after you graduate.
