Art & design courses at Derby with excellent work experience opportunities

At the University of Derby we have a range of purpose built facilities for our art and design courses starting in January 2013.

Out Markeaton site studios were designed especially for art and design courses, so you will be learning in an inspiring environment with other creative students. Our campus provides classrooms, studios and workshops which are kind to the environment.

We focus our art and design courses around real world learning experiences. During your course you will build a portfolio of work to impress employers with. Previous students of our Graphic Design BA (Hons) course have found work at organisations like Saatchi, Rolls-Royce and OneDotZero.

Our Fashion Studies BA (Hons) students have worked at places including Vogue, DKNY, River Island and Alexander McQueen.

The University of Derby offers learning with the personal touch which means you will have access to your own personal tutor whenever you need them. We also have our International Student Centre which offers support with every part of studying and living in Derby. Derby city was voted as the second safest place to study in the UK in the International Student Barometer.

Studying with us for your Bachelor’s degree or a top up degree, you will gain a UK qualification which will help you with your career. If you choose to study a Master’s degree with us, you will get a 10% discount from your tuition fees.
