Southbank Institute of Technology has a proven record as one of Queensland’s leading providers of high-level vocational and technical education.

In 2010/11, 21,450 students from 90 countries chose to study at Southbank Institute of Technology, enjoying access to 114 different course areas and 160 pathway opportunities to university. Approximately 10% of our student population are International students who choose a unique study and learning experience, right here in the vibrant and sunny surrounds of our South Brisbane campus.

Our new world city; Brisbane!

Brisbane is the capital city of Queensland and is known as Australia’s most liveable city. Brisbane offers you clear skies, warm sunny days and mild nights creating a tropical ambience perfect for soaking up Brisbane’s outdoor lifestyle.

Brisbane is a gateway to many of Queensland’s finest tourist destinations, including the Great Barrier Reef and islands of Moreton Bay. Brisbane is only one hour’s drive from the famous Gold Coast and theme parks like Sea World, Dreamworld and Movieworld. To the north are the Sunshine Coast and the beautiful heritage-listed beaches and rainforests of Fraser Island.

Southbank is located close to the CBD and has access to transport (train, bus, ferry-CityCat and bike paths) which can get you aroudn Brisbane or even to the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast by train or car.
