The most popular courses at Murdoch for Asian students are Business & Commerce, Media and Communications, Life Sciences and Veterinary and Biomedical Science.
Murdoch has 14 undergraduate Business/Commerce majors, which include traditional majors such as Economics, Management, Accounting and Marketing, but also some innovative new majors like Chinese Business, Business Sustainability and Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Hospitality & Tourism Management.
Media and Communications is another specialty area. Murdoch boasts a newly refurbished $AU1.7 million Media Arts Centre with some of the most up-to-date Media Production facilities on any Australian campus.
Murdoch University was also one of the first Universities in Australia to offer a degree program in Biotechnology. As well as Biotechnology, Life Science programs at Murdoch include Molecular Biology, Forensic Biology & Toxicology, Marine Science and Conservation & Wildlife Biology. Murdoch is a medium-sized university that places a strong focus on academic experience, with small class sizes and an open-door policy, meaning that lecturers are more accessible to those students who require extra assistance.
