Featured blogger at Filipino Globe

Shortly after my trip to Australia, I was asked by Gabby Alvarado of Filipino Globe, a Filipino magazine in Hong Kong that provides news and features from OFWs in Hong Kong and beyond, about getting featured in its upcoming issue. I was pleased with the offer and decided to share my story and views regarding the way I started my blog, which topics I choose to write about and where I draw inspiration when I write these articles.
/>
/>I was told the issue was released last weekend but after scouring shops at Worldwide House in Central, I failed to secure a copy. Nonetheless, when I told Gabby of my plight, he did not hesitate to come over my office and delivered two copies. Wow, I was amazed.
/>
/>One good feedback I can say about Filipino Globe, without being biased that I got featured in the recent article, is that 1) it is packed with news not only relating to Filipinos in Hong Kong, but also to those that matter to us back home in the Philippines 2) Editorial staff does a good job of not just scanning pages for facts, but also checking for minute spelling mistakes I sometimes find on other broadsheets 3) there are not a lot of ads that usually takes place as a whole spread of a shop selling mobile phones or a health supplement featuring a nice face as a front act.
/>
/>I found though that the website is not well updated to reflect the latest news in the printed version. I wish I could lend a hand to revise the layout but I fear I will be told there’s no need to do such thing. Anyway, here’s the story about us that appeared on Filipino Globe.
