Taltarni Taché Sat, 11 Sep 2010 09:12:46 +0000 Taltarni Taché has cemented its place at the top of the Australian Rose market with confirmation from AC Nielsen that it is the leader in the Sparkling Rose over $20 category. This is the fourth year in a row, and the Taché phenomenom continues apace.

Taché is the French word for stained. At disgorement, Taltarni Brut Taché is stained with red wine, which imparts the unique taste and elegant salmon colour.

Taché is on the lips of the world’s “who’s who”.

30 years of Taltarni cabernet – back vintages Mon, 06 Sep 2010 04:29:48 +0000 We’re excited to have recently hosted a series of VIP wine dinners. Taltarni reds are pure and powerful. They’re THE wines to have with meat. So, we chose the country’s hottest steakhouses to host our events: Moo Moo’s in Brisbane and Rockpool Bar + Grill in Sydney and Melbourne.

Our guests were taken on a journey through 30 vintages of our Cabernet, from 1977 through to our 2009 barrel samples.

They were treated to three different types of beef for lunch: grain fed, grass fed and Wagyu. Our guests enjoyed exploring the different flavour and texture combinations of the beef and the wine . . . . and so did we!!

An overview of the Taltarni winery Fri, 06 Aug 2010 12:47:25 +0000 Established in 1969, Taltarni was the founding winery of the iron-rich Pyrenees wine region in Victoria, Australia. Owner John Goelet, a direct descendant of the Guestier wine merchant family of Bordeaux, discovered the Taltarni Vineyard through a worldwide search for a site comparable to the great vineyards of Bordeaux.

Today, Taltarni combines old-world traditions with innovative new-world techniques to produce a diverse range of French-inspired still wines and méthode traditionelle-crafted sparkling wines. The diversity of Taltarni’s portfolio ensures that there is a perfect Taltarni wine for all key moments in life.
