Le Cordon Bleu would like to wish the UK Club Coupe du Monde team good luck for the final of the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie competition, which takes place in Lyon on the 28th January 2013.

The London institute’s Chef Javier Mercado and Chef Nicolas Belorgey will be joined by fellow team mates Chef Martin Chiffers (Executive Pastry Chef, The Savoy) and Chef Nicolas Bouhelier (Pastry Sous Chef, Le Manoir aux Quat’saisons) for the final event which will see them compete against 21 international teams of highly skilled chefs.

The UK team has been preparing at our London institute with access to the advanced culinary equipment installed within our dedicated pâtisserie kitchens. To qualify for the final, the UK team won the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie European Cup.

The competition will be hosted by the Sirha exhibition at the Eurexpo, Boulevard des Droits de l’Homme, and will be held from the 26th to the 30th January. Le Cordon Bleu will be in attendance at the exhibition to provide information on our culinary and hospitality management courses offered internationally.
