CMU’s College of Business Administration
The College of Business Administration (CBA) offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are professionally accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
At the undergraduate level, CMU is highly renowned for accounting, finance, and business consulting, and remains among the top five in the United States for the number of students studying marketing. At the graduate level, the university was one of the first to partner with SAP, and its premier graduate programs – including the MBA (with ten concentrations) and the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) – integrate SAP into the curriculum. Additionally, CBA runs a dynamic entrepreneurial center and works closely with large corporations and small businesses, providing highly valued, faculty led consulting services to real-world business partners. CMU is also highly respected for the MA in Economics, and alumni directly enter the marketplace or advance into prestigious doctoral degree programs throughout the United States.
CMU continuously develops new programs and modifies existing ones to ensure that students attain the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s quickly changing and always challenging global environment. Business students develop close, professional relationships with accomplished faculty mentors, enhance professional business skills within an engaging and interactive academic environment, and gain valuable practical experience and integrated knowledge through the latest technologies and learning methods.
CMU’s College of Graduate Studies
The College of Graduate Studies is deeply concerned with the well-being of all graduate students and with the quality and health of all graduate academic programs and services. With many student-focused services, graduate students at CMU feel especially welcomed and appreciated from the very first contact through to graduation and beyond.
The College of Graduate Studies also administers the Master of Science in Administration (MSA), which is an interdisciplinary degree program in administration with many areas of concentration. It was initially designed for students who do not have an undergraduate degree in business but now want a career in administration. However, it accepts students from all academic backgrounds, including business.
The MSA at CMU is a phenomenally successful program with more than 4,500 students enrolled each year. Most are off-campus students who enroll online or at one of CMU’s 50+ off-campus centers that are located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. It’s also the largest on-campus program, and students select from many concentration areas, including Health Services Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration and International Administration, plus Leadership, Sport Administration and other concentration areas.
