UK-based designer Shikun Sun has created a concept design for smartphone especially for the blind.

The ‘DrawBraille Mobile Phone’ has a Braille keyboard and touchscreen and functions like a normal phone.

According to Yanko Design, the phone’s keyboard can be scrolled up and down, “to make room for all the letters and special characters”.

To know how much charge is left in the battery, the side of the phone has a row of five raised dots that users can feel.

On top of its basic functions of calling and messaging, the DrawBraille Mobile Phone also lets its users read digital books, send emails and listen to music.
