The University of Salford will be delivering over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from its new presence alongside the BBC and ITV.
The University now has a corporate partnership with global, creative software company Adobe. The partnership will see Adobe sponsoring a state-of-the-art VFX studio at the University’s new teaching and research facility and providing talented students with the chance of a lifetime on highly coveted work placements with Adobe’s video team.
Jon Corner, Director of MediaCityUK, for the University of Salford, said:
Joining forces with Adobe will create huge benefits for our students and it shows how the University is now seen by innovative, world leading businesses and organisations. Adobe recognises what we are aiming to achieve at MediaCityUK and the quality of graduates we will be producing.
Scholarships
The University believes in giving students the best support possible. Since September 2010 it has done this by offering one of the biggest scholarship schemes in the UK. With a total value of over £2.5 million and awards worth up to £5,000, students can concentrate on achieving their career goals not on their bank balance.
Graduate Employability
The University is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading enterprise universities and is famous for its links with industry, commerce and the arts. Good links with employers mean that most full-time undergraduate courses offer work placements and the University enjoys an excellent graduate employment record. Salford graduates are prominent in business, industry, the public sector and non-governmental organisations worldwide. 94% of postgraduates go on to employment or further study within six months of graduating.
Facilities
The University is investing £150 million in new buildings, and the refurbishment and regeneration of two campus sites. Students have free access to the internet, email, and over 800 open access computers, and can log on 24-hours a day. On-campus there are four library sites with over 650,000 volumes as well as databases and an e-library system, and leisure facilities include a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, sports halls, fitness rooms, an indoor climbing room, squash courts and all-weather sports pitches.

Salford’s international student advisors can provide assistance and support to international students on a range of issues, and there are free medical facilities and counselling available on the campus to all students.
The International Society enables students to meet new people from different cultures and organises events and visits to other parts of the UK and Europe.
