Study in Brisbane
Australia’s globally recognised education system provides a structure known as the Australian Qualifications Framework that links 15 school, vocational and university qualifications. A wide range of study choices are offered including university programmes, business schools, English language training and study tours.

Several scholarships are provided catering to specific needs and qualifications.

International students are required to obtain a visa for the duration of their academic programme in Australia. For programmes under three months, a visitor or working holiday visa will be needed.

Live in Brisbane
Brisbane combines high-quality education with excellent value for money. Living in Brisbane is much more affordable compared to other major education destinations such as the United Kingdom or the United States. An approximate budget estimates international students experience an expenditure of AUS $360 per week on accommodation, food, clothing, entertainment and transport.

A range of accommodation is provided for students including on-campus accommodation, international residence, independent renting, youth hostels, and bed and breakfasts. Homestays are also provided and are an interesting way to get involved in a true Australian lifestyle.

Health and safety forms an important part of Australian life. The safe and harmonious society provides a soft landing ground for international students who want to experience a different culture but maintain their safety.

Why Brisbane?
International students are drawn to Brisbane for its perfect sub-tropical weather and safety record. A survey of over 1,000 international students studying in Brisbane revealed that the pleasant climate was the main reason behind their choosing to study in Queensland’s capital city.

The survey, undertaken by Brisbane Marketing, also found that students chose Brisbane because it was a safe place to live and recommended by friends.

Yeting Xiao of Shenzhen, who is studying business at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), said: “The fantastic environment really allows students to relax and enjoy the study process. Unlike some of the larger cities, Brisbane provides a flexible lifestyle and it is one of the safest cities in the world, so my parents don’t worry about my safety here.”

Brisbane provides successful graduate opportunities, another important factor behind this education destination’s popularity. An annual growth of 4 percent has increased Brisbane’s need for skilled workers and several international students prefer to stay on and join the dynamic Australian workforce.

The city also provides activities ranging from outdoor sports to art and culture. Brisbane’s beautiful landscapes with some of the world’s largest islands, exciting wildlife and unique rainforests offer an educational experience comparable to no other.
