Hundreds of arrests possible in Mokpo room salon investigation

In its investigation of the “madam’s notebook” scandal at the H entertainment bar in Mokpo, the Mokpo Police Department announced on the 2nd it had verified evidence of customers who paid for sex.

The police have completed the first stage of their investigation of 409 customers and three employees in the notebook, and have verified evidence and confessions linking 320 to prostitution..

The police say they will continue to investigate the 89 people denying any involvement in prostitution, and plan to handle all employees and customers under the law.

A member of the police said, “the first stage of the investigation is complete, but there are incorrect rumors regarding people who were not investigated and so we will confirm any suspicions and reveal the numbers.”

In June the Mokpo Police Department investigated an assault case involving a room salon worker and a customer who wanted to take her out, leading to an investigation of the room salon and the seizure of a cellphone and notebook that led to further investigation.

If there are 400 on record at just one rooms salon, doesn’t it suggest that it would be about as useless to prosecute them all as it would be to prosecute Korean men for spitting on the street?

Or maybe some police brass didn’t get the white envelope he wanted and is making an example out of someone.

This is so hypocritical. I guarantee that some-most of the cops who are making these arrests have visited singing rooms with hostesses. Not to mention the politicians directing the investigation. Busting 3 women and 1 “Room Salon” when there are 10′s of thousands of these rooms operating throughout Korea…and coffee girls, Joo Jum’s, pink rooms, barber shops, massage parlous….etc.

Well I’m sure in the salons the guys are just paying for 20,000won bottles of soju with their credit card. The girls just feel the need to sleep with them then and there since the like the john SO much.
