Dan Rivers has a video report from CNN. Dan refers to the PM’s press conference where Abhisit accuses the protesters of using armed weapons including M79 grenades. In response to a question from the host, he says “I have seen a lot of protesters, the hardcore protesters out clearly looking menancing with sticks, staves, and batons, and slingshots and rocks ready to throw. I personally have never seen any red shirt protesters or their black shirt guards with guns although that is being alleged here by many media organizations”.

Dan refers to clashes on Victory Monument and refers to people on the street supporting the red shirts. He refers to army snipers with telescopic sights that were shooting people.

BP: Now, it is difficult to know precisely who is shooting who and soldiers certainly have the right to defend themselves, but so far all we see are head shots and almost exclusively injured civilians/red shirts. At the same time, there have been a number of pictures of protesters with head shots and we have army snipers…
