While the BBC already has video footage, as blogged about here, of an explosives expert in the UK taking apart one of the GT200 detection cards, we now have the same for Thailand.

Yesterday, together with science professor Jessada, Gen. Pathompong of PAD stage fame* had obtained a GT200 device and the detection cards. He then took one apart in front of the media and video from ThaiPBS has been uploaded to YouTube and can be seen here.

As one can see and confirming the BBC video report, there is no electronic circuitry inside, it is just laminated cards with paper on the inside yet they cost the government tens of millions of Baht.

*again should reiterate, the PAD and the red shirts are almost completely aligned on the GT200 issue.
