Yes, Seth Gecko, I looked at the Herald “MRI”. Good news is: these wicked teachers have both English Competence and Sense, according to the list (in English) under the image. But the “MRI” image a bit of a puzzle: the script is all in Korean Hangul except for word “SEX”. I mean, don’t they have their own word for “SEX”. Of course it’s like that because that is what Mighty Tiny Mouse, Lee Eun-Ung, and his band of Merry Men (in green-with-envy tights), the AES (or should that be ASS or ASSES) are all about.
One day we find out all about Lee Eun-Ung and it is sure to be a can of worms. O I can’t wait, can’t wait!

Youseok, the word 성추행 in Korean was likely mistranslated as rape when it was probably some “lesser” form of child molestation.

Nonetheless, eight months even for child molestation is too lenient, but I’m just saying it was very likely not rape.

Unsurprisingly is right, but not for the reasons many will assume. Ms Vandom and ATEK took an organization that was demonstrably a hate group and handed them a free-speech victory.

It’s not their website that is the source of their power nor the real evidence of them being a hate group. It’s their activities and their alleged connections with lazy members of the media and legislators. They should have gone to the NHRCK in the first place, but now a “win” even there is less likely than before, thanks to giving them a chance to remove objectionable material from their site.

I’m not gloating one bit. I think this fight needs to be carried on but in a different direction and I am disappointed at this setback. I’m just trying to make the case that it should go in a different direction —  a direction recommended even before this tactic was used.

And your headline is wrong, KoreaBeat, because AES didn’t stay intact: They apparently removed some of the more offensive material from their site, which makes it harder to make the case against them that they the hate group that they actually are.

If the offensive material comes down from the site, one could think that to be a small victory. However, if AES decides they can’t publish racist material on the internet without problems, I believe they will put more effort into getting fabricated stories into the major news media outlets. They will use ‘lazy journalists’ to get their fear mongering into the public arena.

Can news media be held accountable for publishing false stories invented by AES? If not, then I fear AES could become stronger because media gives them the guise of legitamacy.

Removing objectionable material doesn’t stop it from being a hate group if it is in fact a hate group.

I’m so tired of hearing what you think people should be doing and how you are going to check into that or check into this – and you never actually doing anything.

If it’s a hate group, it’s a hate group. Go call them on it if that’s the best course in your opinion. Vandom/ATEK haven’t done anything to stop them from being a hate group.

You could have filed an NHRCK complaint. You still CAN file an NHRCK complaint. No you don’t have to be an English teacher and no you don’t have to be in Korea. And being of mixed Korean descent you have all the more reason (and further justification) to do it. So do it and quit running around pissing on everyone who actually does things rather than sitting on internet all day writing blog comments.

My congrats to people who actually do something about groups like AES and a big Bronx cheer for Kushibo – the blog equivalent of a yappy lap dog – who never does anything.

I would think that before Andrea Vandom complained/sent off the letters to Naver, she and ATEK printed off proof of the hate speech before AES yanked it off their website, therefore it shouldn’t be too late to prove the case to the NHRCK.
