The 2014 Summer School offers a diverse programme of courses across a broad range of topics, including Development and Conflict; Government and Politics of the Middle East and Arabic Language; A Critical History of the Israel-Palestine Conflict; Law, Multiculturalism and Intercultural Human Rights; Legal Systems of Africa and Asia; The Politics of Global Capitalism; NGOs and Social Movements: The Politics of Protest and Change; Africa-Europe – Postcolonial Politics, Migration and the Diaspora; Jawi and the Malay Manuscript Tradition; Culture and Society in the Middle East and Arabic Language; Politics and Society of China and Chinese Language; and Public Policy and Management.
Alongside the academic classes, there is an entertaining social programme, including a guided tour of historic Bloomsbury, a welcome party, and a river cruise on the Thames.
Courses run from the end of June until the middle of July.
