Mobile Phone Risks

This afternoon, while I was in Central, I heard a rumor that one Filipina was hit by a moving vehicle and has died while trying to cross on an authorized area of the street. I couldn’t confirm the report but it reminded me of an elderly person being hit by a fast moving vehicle while s/he was unaware of the “no cross” sign in the pedestrian lane because s/he was busy talking on the phone.
In Hong Kong or in most other places, it’s an invitation to disaster to talk on the phone while crossing the street because one’s attention is not focused on the road but instead on the phone.
Just a reminder of the risk mobile phone (cell phone) has brought to us apart from the ease in communication and improved efficiency.
1. Men who use mobile phone have an increased risk of infertility.
2. Driving and use of hand-held mobile phone is almost synonymous to accident.
3. Young kids are more susceptible to radiation after regular use of mobile phones.
There may be more, but who can avoid using his/her phone anyway?
