BEIJING, China – The Trinity Western University Goodwill Tour of China had a travel day on Tuesday and had a day off from competition.
The morning after their exciting game in Wuhan the Spartans men’s basketball team and the TWU delegation were up early to catch a flight to Beijing. Upon landing the group had a quick bight to eat at the Beijing Airport and then boarded a bus for an hour long drive to the Great Wall of China.
The Tour group spent a good part of a beautiful sunny afternoon viewing and climbing one of the world’s seven wonders. They did were not able to climb all of the 5,600 km plus wall, but they made a solid effort in the time that they had.
After the climb of the Mutianyu section of the wall the Spartans boarded a bus and headed into Beijing for a three hour visit at the Silk Street Market.
The group then got back on the bus and journeyed the two hour drive to Tianjin to get settled in their hotel and get ready for Wednesday’s game at the Tianjin Polytechnic University.
