NEW DELHI (AP) — Indian police say they are searching for two French men who went missing while trekking along popular trails in the Himalayan foothills.
The hikers, aged 20 and 21, have not been seen since splitting off from a group including 30 other foreigners Wednesday to take a different route in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Police say the two told their friends they would meet them the same evening.
Police have been searching the trails area near Dharamsala city since Saturday, but have yet to find any clues.
The French Embassy said Sunday it has been in contact with the men’s families in France.
